This is the record when I used TeX in Ubuntu.
Environment
- Ubuntu 16.04
- TeXLive 1.2
Preparation
Install TeX environment.

sudo apt-get install texlive |
Create Document
As the following, I created PDF from the TeX text file.

texliveonfly filename.tex |
すると、 filename.aux, filename.log, filename.pdf, filename.synctex.gz が作成されます。
Information
When I executed ptex filename.tex, I got the following messages and PDF or DVI were not created.
