Oct 2016 Hotel Unizo Kyoto Shijo Karasuma

When I went to Kyoto business trip, I stayed for 8000 yen (about 70 dollars) at Hotel Unizo Kyoto Shijo Karasuma.

Advantage

  • You can stay at the center of Kyoto for low cost.Access to other areas is very convenient, and you can quickly reach both the Karasuma Subway Line and the Hankyu stations. It’s just two stops to Kyoto Station on the Karasuma Line, and you can also reach Osaka by taking the Hankyu line.
  • Since it’s in the city center, shopping facilities (department stores, large bookstores, etc.) are also very close.
  • Being centrally located, you have access to many tourist spots such as Gion, Nijo Castle, the Kyoto Imperial Palace, and Toji Temple.
  • You can get water for free.
    • You don’t have to buy water for tomorrow.
    • The water is based on Gifu prefecture, bedrock water 北アルプス発 飛騨の雫 が2本ももらえます。

    • ビジネスユースには全く問題のない設備です。

    消臭スプレーもあるし、インターネットも使えるし。

    Disadvantage

    • Some rooms has bad smell. (I found such comment by someone.)
